Thinning, wiring, styling of Juniperus Squamata Pt 2 - now rest....

I got out in the garden today and finished the work. All in all about 15 hours or so to create defined areas on which to develop pads, and to thin out the heavily congested crown.

Before...........

and now..........

Going to let this little guy take a breather now for the rest of the year.

I'm happy with the work so far. Now I have to decide whether or not to lose the shredding bark.... it's a tough call as I really love what's there but it would probably add a further level of refinement. However, who is to say that it will look as nice underneath this bark?

At least I have a year to ponder it...

'til next time...
